Our Projects
Young Women Campaigning for Change
We believe that in order to get their voices heard, young women of African origin living in UK need to engage in campaigning and advocacy to share their ideas, perspectives and concerns. The aim of this workshop is to encourage young African women to play bigger roles in their communities lives and fulfill their potential as agents of change by using their energies to raise awareness and tackle racism, sexism and other forms of prejudice.
This project covers:
- What is it to be a young woman from African origin in UK today.
- Campaigning, policy and advocacy (The meaning beyond the big words).
- How change happens and should one be involved.
- Fighting against extremism.
- Diversionary weekend activities
